I used to have phobias towards non-literary or musical arts. Thanks to Madison and Mora at the ceramics studio in Azerbaijan, I've expanded beyond my boundaries. They are true professionals, both as teachers and artists. I never thought I could create such a vase after just a few classes. My mom loved it too!
My experience at Cracked Pot Studio in Azerbaijan was simply fantastic! The class we took with my children was both educational and fun. Heather, the skilled teacher and studio owner, created a nurturing environment, especially when my son was hesitant to join in. We all had a great time, and Heather's encouragement even inspired me to try pottery. The focus on creativity and the joy we experienced made a lasting impact. I enthusiastically award this studio and its amazing teacher five stars!

A picture I took of the cover of a children's book that tells a story similar to the one that inspired the studio's name.

The Tale of the Broken Vase

The studio's name was inspired by a touching story of embracing imperfections, a tale passed down from my Grandfather and cherished since my youth.

For two years, the ceramics studio in Azerbaijan operated daily, with artisans creating a variety of pottery. Each piece, whether perfect or flawed, held its own significance. While the flawless pots stood proud of their achievements, the cracked ones felt ashamed of their imperfections and yearned to fulfill their intended purpose completely.

After two years of perceived failure, the Azerbaijani ceramic studio humbly sought forgiveness from the water bearer by the stream for a fresh start.

Asker asked, "Why feel ashamed?"

The ceramic vessel expressed sorrow, "For years, I could only hold half my capacity due to a crack, leaking water to your home. My flaws lessen the value you get from your work."

The ceramics artist suggested admiring the stunning pottery creations in the studio on our way back.

Ascending the hill, the aged cracked pot observed the sun's rays bathing the vibrant wildflowers along the path, lifting its spirits. However, reaching the summit, it lamented having leaked half its contents, apologizing once more to its carrier for the perceived shortcoming.

The pot was told by its bearer, "Have you seen that only your side of the path is blooming with flowers? I planted seeds there, and every day as we return from the stream, you water them. For two years, these blossoms have adorned our table. Your existence brings beauty to our home."
